About Dynamis

Dynamis is a reputable construction and engineering company with a strong presence in the United States, specializing in diverse construction projects. We are seeking a skilled Estimating Engineer to join our team in Mumbai, India. As an Estimating Engineer, you will be responsible for estimating the costs of construction projects primarily based on CSI coding for projects located in the United States.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents to understand the scope and requirements of construction projects.
2. Utilize CSI coding to accurately estimate the quantities and costs of materials, labor, and equipment required for each project.
3. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify project details and resolve any discrepancies or ambiguities in the project documentation.
4. Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including itemized breakdowns, unit prices, and total costs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project schedules and specifications.
5. Identify and evaluate potential risks, uncertainties, and alternative options that may impact project costs and timelines.
6. Utilize appropriate software and tools to generate estimates, maintain a centralized database of cost information, and track changes and revisions to estimates as necessary.
7. Stay updated on the latest construction industry trends, technologies, and materials to enhance the accuracy and competitiveness of cost estimates.
8. Collaborate with the procurement team to source and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
9. Prepare and present reports, summaries, and recommendations to senior management, project managers, and clients, highlighting cost estimates, variations, and any significant factors influencing project costs.
10. Assist in the negotiation and preparation of project budgets, contracts, and change orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
11. Participate in bid meetings and contribute to the development of proposals and tender documents for construction projects.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably with exposure to projects in the United States.
3. Familiarity with CSI coding and the ability to apply it effectively in estimating construction costs.
4. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and standards.
5. Proficiency in using estimating software, such as Bluebeam, RSMeans, or equivalent tools.
6. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
7. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
9. Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
10. Knowledge of local and international construction regulations, codes, and standards.
11. Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software applications.
12. Experience with value engineering and cost optimization techniques is desirable.
